Life After Gastric Bypass Surgery

I just want to post my success story. I was 370 pounds and I really wanted to get the surgery. By the grace of God I was approved on March 7th 2007 and I underwent the procedure on March 13th 2007.

I tell you, 9 months later I weigh 210lbs. I workout every day God sends me. Sometimes it gets hard especially since I work the 3rd shift at my job but no pain no gain. I really haven’t had any real problems relating to my WLS.

I love my life now. I can perform the best therapy possible for me and that therapy is running. I love life even more now. It’s like this for me you only have one body so treasure it and take good care of it.

I don’t have that far to go I want to be between 180 lbs and 200 lbs. I know I can do with the Lords help. I just want you all to know that WLS is not a quick fix for an overweight person.

You have to take it seriously. I do. You all take care.

I can really and truly tell everyone that I feel great. I do not eat any junk food anymore. Now don’t get me wrong, I drink an occasional beer every now and then but I stay focused. I have to.

I always said if I knew back then what I know now, things would be different. The time is now and I thank God for his bountiful blessings.

I am only 34 years of age and I feel soooo much better than I did 9 months ago.
